Vimbio Corp. Meets Its Objectives and Takes on Remaining Challenges

The corporation reviews the commitments outlined in its sustainability strategy, identifying both the goals that have been met and areas for improvement for the new fiscal year.

After analyzing the company’s progress toward the sustainability goals set by the corporation for 2025, the company notes that, despite the challenges that remain, significant milestones have been achieved at the corporate level.

The results reflect progress in areas such as responsible supplier management, reducing paper consumption, and promoting health in the workplace. At the same time, the analysis highlights the need to strengthen initiatives related to energy consumption.

Supply chain

In Europe, the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive places the supply chain at the center of corporate responsibility, encouraging companies to actively manage environmental and human rights risks associated with their suppliers. Large companies are required to exercise due diligence, which means they must identify, prevent, and mitigate negative impacts throughout the value chain.

Although Vimbio Corp. is under no obligation to do so, it voluntarily considers supplier management to be one of the pillars of its sustainability strategy. For this reason, throughout 2025, it maintained environmental criteria in its approval and evaluation processes, prioritizing the use of materials with a lower environmental impact and assessing the energy performance of its partner organizations.

The target set for 2025 was to reduce the number of Type C suppliers by 3%, a goal that was successfully exceeded by the end of the year, reaching 0%.

The final breakdown also reflects a positive trend toward better-performing categories. Type A suppliers account for 42.86% of the total, while Type B suppliers account for 57.14%. The Type D category—which includes organizations without energy certifications or commitments to reduce energy consumption—also stands at 0%.

These data help build a supply chain that is increasingly aligned with sustainability and energy efficiency criteria—factors that are becoming increasingly important in responsible procurement processes.

Reducing Paper Usage

One of the most significant environmental issues identified in 2024 was paper consumption, so Vimbio Corp set a goal to reduce its consumption by up to 5% by 2025.

To achieve this, internal awareness-raising initiatives were implemented to promote best practices for a paperless office, supplemented by monthly monitoring that made it possible to verify and track changes in consumption throughout the year.

The results exceeded initial projections. By the end of 2025, total office paper consumption had fallen by 9.95% compared to the baseline period.

These developments confirm the effectiveness of the measures implemented and highlight the importance of combining awareness-raising, monitoring of indicators, and the digitization of processes to move toward more efficient management models.

Healthy Workplace

Sustainability also includes a social dimension linked to people’s well-being. With this approach, Vimbio Corp. carried out various initiatives throughout 2025 as part of its healthy workplace program.

With the goal of reducing the percentage of smokers and sedentary employees among its workforce, the corporation implemented various awareness-raising initiatives, such as the “fruit in the office” campaign, designed to promote healthy eating habits in the workplace.

He also promoted the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health to encourage physical activity among his team.

All of these initiatives led to the achievement of the goal set for 2025, which was to implement and promote a healthy workplace, thereby strengthening a culture of prevention and the well-being of employees.

Areas for improvement

Although management generally views the results achieved positively, it also recognizes some challenges ahead as it looks toward 2026.

Among the unmet targets is a 2% reduction in electricity consumption, a goal that ultimately could not be achieved.

The 2025 data show an increase in consumption compared to 2024, a trend that has been analyzed by the organization and will be taken into account for the coming year.
